Marie Curie
Hi
everyone, welcome to my blog again. As you know i study chemistry and pharmacy.
I really really love this career. One of my heores is about this theme is Marie
curie. If you don´t know here, I cant tell you about his life and Works. Well, Maria Skłodowska was born in Warsaw, in the Russian partition of Poland, on 7 November 1867, Was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who
conducted pioneering research on radioactivity.
She was the first woman, and person, to win a nobel Prize in two
different sciences, was first woman to become a professor at the
University of Paris, discovered two elements, polonium and radium, and
in 1995 became the first woman to be entombed on her own merits in the Panthéon in Paris!! A perfect example of struggle, in a world where women
could not do science.
but his death was very unfortunate. in those years was not know about the dangerous abouth radioactivity, and died in 1934, of radiation poisoing, in other words, his work killed her.
You are right, her death was really unfortunate :(
